Kaleidoscope
frontI learned about Marti Michell's new ruler for Kaleidoscope blocks at Quilt Market and was thrilled to use it to make one of my all-time favorite blocks with this fascinating fabric. All the "stars" are from this same fabric; some spin and some look like snowflakes!
Half-Square Triangles
frontThis quilt used all my favorite batiks and uses a new technique to make piles of half-square triangles that I learned from Debbie Caffrey at a wonderful show in Nashua, NH
Bargello - 79 x 92
frontAfter teaching a Bargello class at the Happy Quilter, I was inspired to design and make this big one. It was juried into the 2007 World Quilt Show in Manchester, NH
Quick Trip - 91 x 104
frontThis is from Eleanor Burn's book Quick Trip Quilts. It is fast and fun to make! I have been longing to find an excuse to use the wonderful fabric with the birds that I put in the border. It provided a rich palette of colors from which to choose the 12 center fabrics.
Serendipity - 90 x 95
frontThis is a Serendipity quilt based on a Sara Nephew's design. Once you learn her technique you can make your own designs as I have done in the borders.
Japanese Fans - 70 x 80
frontI always like a chance to work in many Asian fabrics. It was juried into the 2007 World Quilt Show in Manchester, NH.
Autumn Melon - 70 x 70
frontHexagon Fireworks - 61 x 67
frontIt was a lot of fun both to make and to teach. Donated in 2007 to the North Country Chamber Players for their benefit auction.
Hearthside Harmony - 65 x 80
frontThis quilt was donated to the Closter Nature Center for a fund raiser.
